Four Days of Intensive MSK Ultrasound Training

Our four days of intensive MSK ultrasound training is a shorter version of our flagship 8 days MSK Ultrasound training course, based on the same format and ethos. Over the period of four contact days, you will have the opportunity to perform at least 50 scans. You will scan patients with a range of pathologies under the close supervision of our mentors, allowing for in-depth learning of diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Program Overview:

Our programme caters to the learning needs of clinicians seeking to improve their scanning and report writing skills while accruing valuable clinical mileage. For MSK ultrasound PgC students, the mentorship fulfils required scans for portfolios, demonstrating competency under the guidance of our expert tutors.

The delegates get individual feedback at the end of scanning days. MSK ultrasound mentors can support and suggest how to maintain logbook.

Course Highlights:

  • Pathology-Focused Clinical Experience: Opportunity to scan pre-screened patients for pathology, enhancing clinical mileage and supervised scanning experience.
  • Special Focus on Report Writing: Samples of report writing will be provided to candidates, and we will encourage them in developing report writing skills.
  • Individual Feedback: Each attendee receives personalised feedback at the end of training days; therefore, candidates can tailor their studies and further scans.
  • Limited Class Size: Maximum three students per machine, ensuring a personalised and focused learning environment. We have limited spaces each year, and these places are booked quickly.
  • Passionate Tutors: Supportive tutors committed to encouraging continuous student learning.

Who Should Attend:

Our MSK Ultrasound Mentorship Course is designed for various professionals, including but not limited to Physiotherapists, GPs with a special interest in MSK/Sports Medicine, Sports Medicine Consultants, Rheumatologists, Osteopaths, Sonographers, and Podiatrists.

Course Pre-requisites:

  • Attended at least a two-day Introduction to MSK Ultrasound Imaging course with any reputable organisation.
  • Access to an ultrasound scanner at your workplace for practice between mentorship days.
  • Commitment to attending all training days.

The fee for our 4-day MSK Ultrasound Mentorship Course 2025 is £1400.00, inclusive of VAT.

Our mentors have completed their qualifications from CASE accredited universities.

You will have the opportunity to perform approximately 25 upper and 25 lower limb scans under supervision.

We may allow that. Please send us an email at info@mskultrasoundgroup.co.uk to discuss this further.

Yes, individualised feedback is provided to the student at the end of upper and lower limb mentorship days. This feedback can be used as evidence for CPD and portfolios.

We limit each cohort to 6 students, and there is always a supervisor available to observe and answer any questions.

  • Less than 28 days notice = No refund.
  • 29 to 56 days notice = 50% refund.
  • Over 57 days notice = Full refund, less an administrative charge of 4% of the course fee.
